A Modern Reflection through the Universal Truth Visualization Model - My Point of View
By Anand Bhushan
Ramayana is not just a tale from the past — it is the story of every soul trying to remember its truth.”

Why This Article — And Why Now?
In a world filled with noise, speed, and confusion, people are yearning for truth — not just more beliefs, but real inner alignment.
After years of study, contemplation, life experience, and immersion in Vedantic wisdom, I came to realize that reality is structured, not chaotic. That everything — from atoms to galaxies, from mantras to mindsets — follows a universal pattern.
To express this in a way that modern seekers can understand, I created the Universal Truth Visualization Model — a layered map of reality that aligns consciousness, creation, and conduct.

And then came the deeper realization:
The ancient Rishis already knew this truth. They encoded it in symbols, stories, gods, and epics — not to confuse us, but to help everyone access the truth based on their capacity.
The Ramayana, one of the most revered epics in Indian tradition, is not just a story about a divine prince. It is a symbolic framework for inner evolution — one that maps beautifully onto the three layers of my model.
Let’s explore it together.
Quick Overview of the Universal Truth Visualization Model
Layer | Reality | Meaning |
Layer 1 | Infinite Stillness / Pure Consciousness | The unchanging Self, God, or Para-Brahman |
Layer 2 | Creative Vibration / Presence | The dynamic field of energy, karma, dharma, time |
Layer 3 | Manifested Reality / Maya | The illusion of separation — ego, form, emotions, suffering |
All spiritual growth is a journey from Layer 3 → Layer 1, from illusion to truth, from confusion to clarity. And Ramayana is that exact journey, expressed as a divine tale.
Ramayana – A Symbolic Map of the Soul’s Journey
Let’s now see how the characters and events of Ramayana align with your own inner transformation:
Character / Symbol | Deeper Meaning |
Rama | The Higher Self — born into the world to restore Dharma |
Sita | Pure Consciousness (Shakti), kidnapped by desire (ego) |
Ravana | Ego and arrogance — knowledgeable but disconnected from Dharma |
Hanuman | Devotion, discipline, and the awakened inner energy (prana) |
Lakshman | Inner awareness and vigilance |
Lanka | Maya — the illusionary world created by unaligned desire |
The Bridge (Ram Setu) | The inner path of sadhana (practice) that reconnects Self with Shakti |
The Core Teachings of Ramayana (Beyond the Story)
Your True Self is Born to Restore Dharma
Just like Rama incarnates to uphold righteousness, your conscious essence is here not to chase fame, but to live in truth. Your soul knows this. Your mind forgets.
Consciousness (Sita) Gets Trapped by Ego (Ravana)
We all lose our inner stillness when we get pulled by desires, attachments, and illusions. Like Sita crossing the Lakshman Rekha, we cross boundaries of awareness — and lose access to our true Self.
The Ego Looks Impressive — But Is Empty Inside
Ravana is a scholar, a king, a master of mantras — yet deeply disconnected from truth. This warns us: knowledge without humility becomes bondage.
Devotion and Discipline are the Real Superpowers
Hanuman isn’t born divine — he becomes divine through seva (selfless service) and surrender. He shows that our disciplined, devoted mind can cross oceans of illusion.
The Real War is Within
The battle of Lanka is not about good vs evil kingdoms. It’s about you vs your lower self, your dharma vs your desires, your awareness vs your compulsions.
How This Maps to the Universal Truth Model
Epic Element | Model Layer | Explanation |
Rama-Sita union | Layer 1 | Unity of awareness and energy — the original pure state |
Sita's abduction | Descent into Layer 3 | Consciousness trapped in illusion of form |
Hanuman’s leap | Layer 2 in action | Devotion and prana overcoming the illusion |
War and return | Journey back to Layer 1 | Reclaiming inner wholeness through dharma |
Why It Matters Today
In the modern world, we’ve become so entangled in Layer 3 — career, comparison, consumerism — that we’ve forgotten the deeper story playing out within.
People argue about whether Ram existed, whether Lanka was in Sri Lanka… but the real Lanka is inside you. And the real Ravana is your unchecked ego.
Ramayana teaches us that:
You are not lost. You are only misidentified.
The path back home is Dharma, not dogma.
Worship is not begging for blessings — it is returning to alignment.
Reflection
You don’t have to memorize the Ramayana. You have to live it.
Every time you choose truth over fear, love over pride, or service over self-interest — you build your own bridge to Lanka.
And when your awareness, discipline, and devotion unite, Rama within you rises — and the kingdom of Dharma is restored.
This is the real Ramayana. This is the journey from ego to essence. This is the return from Maya to Self.
